Bombardier CRJ-900 The Bombardier CRJ 900 was announced in 1999 after which production began in 2001. It is a stretched version of the CRJ 700 with two fuselage extensions, added in the front and back of the main fuselage of the CRJ 700 to increase the maximum capacity from 70 seats to 86 seats.
