About Us

On January 6, 2010 Robert Patton II and Mark Pitschlitz formed a private virtual airline (VA) called Peak Airlines using the call letters "PEK". Peak Airlines now consists of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Robert Patton II – PEK001, Peak Airlines Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mark Pitschlitz – PEK002, and Chief of Information Technology (CIO), Karen Johnson – PEK003. In Jan 2006, both Mark and Robert were frustrated at different things from other virtual airlines they were associated with. However, these virtual airlines gave them the knowledge needed through their promotions in the different virtual airlines from Assistant Hub Managers, to Hub Managers and Chief Pilots. Both Mark and Robert were confident they knew they had the foresight on how running a virtual airline should be.

It should be noted at this point that Peak Airlines is truly an international airline! I’ll explain; the CEO lives in the state of Washington in the United States, and the COO and CIO live in Cape Town, South Africa!

The purpose of forming the airline was strictly to enjoy this hobby of flight simulation through the use of a private virtual airline without all the craziness that goes along with it. We used the K.I.S.S. principle that most people are familiar with. We enjoy interacting with other pilots and air traffic control (ATC) to enjoy this hobby to the fullest. Having fun is where the main focus of a virtual airline should be, and both Mark and I strive to make this a priority within this virtual airline. The amount of money we spent on creating this virtual airline and the huge amount of time invested by the CIO, COO and the CEO of this virtual airline is of no concern if our pilots are happy flying for us. This is why we do what we do. The amount of time devoted by the CIO and COO just to create this website, create a fleet and routes, and other tasks and content is commendable by anyone’s standards!

At Peak Airlines we mainly use the same aircraft as a modern airline of today would use, but we also have the flexibility to add or delete aircraft, and locations as necessary. This gives us the ability to be extremely flexible in the type of aircraft, destinations, and routes we fly to and from. We are striving to have a fun and realistic virtual flight experience using either Microsoft Flight Simulator (FS9 or FSX) or X-Plane 11.

Peak Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Patton II – PEK001, Peak Airlines Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mark Pitschlitz - PEK002 and Chief Information Technology (CIO) Karen Johnson – PEK003, are as eager as ever to assist you in our love of this hobby!
